Pinkpop 2027: blink-182 make their debut, Sting returns 48 years after The Police

It took blink-182 more than three decades to get to Pinkpop. On Sunday 20 June 2027, that changes: the Californian pop-punk band close the festival's 56th edition.
Sting was last here with The Police
When Sting last played Pinkpop in 1979, he was still the bassist and frontman of The Police. Forty-eight years later, he's returning as Sting 3.0.
He joins Saturday headliners Mumford & Sons, who last played Pinkpop in 2019. According to the festival, Landgraaf will be their only festival appearance in 2027.
It's quite a Saturday. Kacey Musgraves, Foals, Wolf Alice and Dutch singer Froukje are also on the bill.
Three days, three very different headliners
Friday belongs to RAYE, who headlines Pinkpop for the first time and is the only one of the three headliners who isn't a band.
Royal Blood, Bastille and CHVRCHES play the same day, alongside Myles Smith, The Prodigy and Dutch hip-hop duo The Opposites. Limburg's own MAZOO, winners of the Limburgse Popprijs, get to open the festival.
Sunday leans into the louder end of the line-up. Alongside blink-182 are 5 Seconds of Summer, Turnstile and Nothing But Thieves, who closed the North Stage here in 2024. With beabadoobee and The Neighbourhood also on Sunday, it's not quite a straight pop-punk reunion.
More than the usual festival suspects
Look beyond the headliners and a few other names stand out. Kacey Musgraves on Saturday, Dylan Gossett and Chance Peña on Sunday: three country and folk names on a first announcement, at a festival better known for rock and pop.
The Dutch contingent is varied too. Alongside Froukje and The Opposites, Pinkpop has confirmed Antoon, Jett Rebel, Milolaathetlukken, Jet van der Steen, Keo and The Bausa.
Who we've seen
We first photographed RAYE at Melkweg in Amsterdam in February 2023. By July 2025 we were shooting her at Lollapalooza Berlin, and next June she headlines Pinkpop.
Turnstile we haven't shot yet. Of everything announced today, they're the set we're most looking forward to.

Pinkpop 2027 takes place from 18 to 20 June at Megaland in Landgraaf, the Netherlands. Tickets go on sale Saturday 31 October.
