Little Simz joins Gorillaz for their first stadium headline show
// Coda · 2 min read
Are you a Little Simz fan and going to Gorillaz tomorrow? Then this will be your lucky day.
Gorillaz play their first stadium headline show on Saturday 20 June at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. After 25 years of touring the world, this is the first time Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett's band headline a stadium, and they are not doing it alone: 23 guests are on the bill, including Johnny Marr, De La Soul, Black Thought, Yasiin Bey, Popcaan and Little Simz. Gates at 17:00, Gorillaz on at 20:00.
Simz and Gorillaz go back years. She features on “Garage Palace,” a Gorillaz track from the Humanz era released in 2017, and she has toured with the band, joining them onstage for songs like “Clint Eastwood.” Earlier this month she was up there with them again, as a guest during their headline set at Primavera Sound in Barcelona on 6 June.

We are not at Tottenham, and we were not at Primavera. The good news is we do not have to wait long. Both Little Simz and Gorillaz play Roskilde on Thursday 2 July, both on the Orange Stage. Simz takes it at 18:00 with a full live band, Gorillaz headline the same stage that night to mark 25 years of their debut album. We will be in the pit for both, so there is a real chance we catch them together one more time. Let's cross our fingers!
