TREACLE gets live music seen: the shows, the scenes, and the photographers in the room. Everything we publish carries your credit and links back to you. Think you can add to that? Pitch us.

How it works

1Find out who hands out the pass, then tell us the show and who you're writing to.
2You get an answer straight away: a green light, a place in line if someone is already on the show, or an honest no. Arenas we decide by hand.
3Send the request yourself, with TREACLE as your outlet and us in cc. Or just go if you already have access.
4Got in? Let us know: you're on the coverage calendar.
5The day after, you get your delivery link: 4 to 10 of your strongest photos (preferably ones you haven't posted yet), any video, and a short write-up.

One honest note

a GO means it fits TREACLE. Whether the venue lets you in is between you and them. And when a pitch doesn't fit us, we tell you why.

Pick the right show

New to this? Pitch the club, not the arena. Small rooms say yes far more often, you shoot the full set instead of three songs, and that is how a name gets built. The big names go to outlets they already know, and a no there says nothing about your work. How accreditation actually works →

The deal

Your work stays yours. What we publish depends on the material: sometimes an article, sometimes a TikTok, an Instagram post or a story. Whatever it becomes, it carries your credit with your Instagram link.
If we run the piece, TREACLE has first option for fourteen days after the show, on the photos and clips we actually use. Everything else from that night is yours to post right away, and after the fourteen days so is the rest.
If you say yes to shooting it, we expect you to show up and deliver within a week. Our preference is to publish within 48 hours, so the sooner the better. Our relationships with venues depend on that.
Pitch what you genuinely want to cover, not everything you would like a ticket to.
